Community before hype
Community value comes before sales, noise, or vanity metrics. Content and activities should be useful to fans.
Meet the person behind Indian Anime Club and the long-time anime fandom experience and India-focused values shaping this independent community.
Founder profile · Editorial responsibility: Satya Prasad
I have been watching anime for more than 20 years. When I was a kid, finding and sharing anime took effort: I remember downloading episodes over modem connections, watching DVDs, and sharing what I found with friends. Discovering a new series felt personal because it often came through curiosity, patience, and someone else's recommendation.
That experience shaped how I see fandom. Anime is not just a label to put on a page or a trend to chase. It is storytelling, animation, music, imagination, and memories people carry for years. I founded Indian Anime Club to help create a more genuine community for anime fans in India, one that respects the medium and the people who love it.
These principles guide how the club presents itself, develops content, and thinks about participation.
Community value comes before sales, noise, or vanity metrics. Content and activities should be useful to fans.
No invented events, inflated claims, or implied partnerships. Confirmed activities are identified as confirmed.
Anime and manga works remain the property of their creators and rights holders. Fan discussion should not be presented as official material.
Make room for India's varied languages, budgets, viewing habits, creative communities, and local contexts.
Leadership is not a claim about size. It means being accountable for what the site publishes, listening to feedback, making corrections when needed, and clearly distinguishing community plans from things that are already happening.
Indian Anime Club aims to offer more than rankings and hype. Our articles explore anime storytelling and craft alongside practical subjects such as viewing options, language choices, fan creativity, copyright awareness, merchandise checks, and organising welcoming communities.
Indian Anime Club currently identifies one founder: Satya Prasad. Additional leadership roles will be listed only when people have formally joined and agreed to be represented here. This page will be updated as that changes.
