Original thought. Clear sourcing. Honest context.
This policy explains the standards behind Indian Anime Club's articles and practical guides about anime culture, creative participation, and fandom in India.
Editorial responsibility: Satya Prasad, founder
Scope and audience
We cover anime fandom in India, viewing and language choices, story and craft analysis, fan creativity, community experiences, beginner guidance, and relevant industry context. We aim to explain the topic at the level a reader needs, rather than assume everyone knows the same terminology or history.
Originality and added value
An article should contribute its own explanation, synthesis, analysis, practical framework, or India-relevant perspective. Researching other sources is part of responsible writing; copying their structure or wording and merely swapping synonyms is not our standard. A summary should explain why the information matters to the reader and where its limits are.
When we use examples, they should clarify the point being made. We do not intend to imply that an interview, firsthand test, visit, or personal experience took place unless it actually did.
Research and factual checks
Claims about a release, licensing arrangement, company, creator, platform feature, event, price, or availability can change. We aim to check these against primary or authoritative material wherever practical, such as an official announcement, publisher or distributor page, public document, or the relevant platform's own help page. If we cannot verify an important detail, we should qualify it or leave it out.
Fact, analysis, and opinion
Interpretations of story themes, characters, and cultural details are not the same as verifiable facts. We aim to show readers which kind of statement they are reading. Reviews and recommendations can be subjective; we should explain the reasoning behind them rather than present taste as a universal verdict.
Sources and attribution
Links should help readers investigate the subject further. Where factual material depends on an external source, we aim to identify that source clearly and favour material close to the original claim. We respect the work of researchers, journalists, artists, studios, publishers, translators, and fans.
Images and intellectual property
We aim to use original, permitted, or appropriately licensed visuals and to provide attribution where required. Anime and manga artwork, screenshots, characters, music, logos, and fan creations may be protected by their respective rights. The fact that material is visible online does not automatically grant permission to republish it.
Corrections and article updates
If you find a factual error, broken source, missing attribution, unclear statement, or material that has become outdated, email prasad@indiananimeclub.com. Include the exact URL, identify the point at issue, and share supporting evidence where possible. We review reasonable requests and make changes when warranted; we do not guarantee a particular response time or accept every requested change.
Authorship and accountability
Current articles are published under the founder's byline. Editorial responsibility includes making reasonable efforts to check key factual claims, improve clarity, and correct material errors brought to our attention. If authorship arrangements change, article bylines and site information should be updated to reflect that change.
Transparency about activity
We will describe events, relationships, and community activities according to what is confirmed. An idea, invitation to discuss, or general plan should not be presented as a confirmed event or partnership. If content is materially changed, the page should be updated where that information helps the reader understand what changed.
